Having served as a senior leader of Grainger’s information technology organization since coming to the company in Feb. 2006, Ray Feeney is currently Grainger’s VP of IT Strategy &Chief Enterprise Architect. W.W. Grainger is a $8B leading broad-line supplier of facilities maintenance products serving businesses and institutions in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Japan, China, India and Central/South America. Prior to serving as Chief Enterprise Architect, Mr. Feeney served as the corporations Chief Technology Officer responsible for managing Technology Infrastructure Services, which included the global infrastructure organization. In this role, Mr. Feeney worked closely with the Senior Management in matching business strategies to technological capabilities. He was also responsible for IT Security, Business Continuity, Design and Engineering and Database Systems. Ray Feeney presents over 20 years’ experience leading and managing complex information systems organizations, particularly those operating within the context of complex sophisticated ERP environments. Mr. Feeney has been responsible for leading numerous domestic and international acquisitions due diligence and integration efforts. Over the course of his career, Mr. Feeney has served in various executive technical roles for companies in the automotive, telecommunications, distribution and consumer products industries. Before joining Grainger, Mr. Feeney served as Vice President, Information Technology at ConAgra Foods, one of the world’s most highly regarded consumer packaged goods companies. Mr. Feeney is also well credentialed academically , holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Saint Francis, and a MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. In addition to his work roles, Mr. Feeney has been involved in a number of outside activities and boards. Mr. Feeney was elected to the Channahon village board from 2000 – 2003 until resigning to move out-of-state. In addition, he has served in a number of charity executive positions. He was appointed to the Will/South Cook Soil & Water Conservation District board in 2008. Mr. Feeney was an active participation in a number of conservation initiatives and eventually become the president of Will County Pheasants Forever for 2 years and Illinois Pheasants Forever Secretary for a single term. Mr. Feeney is currently serving on the Kellogg Information Technology Board and the Depaul Technology Network councils helping to develop academic curriculums that will serve future business technology needs. Mr. Feeney is also an accomplished speaker that has presented at numerous technical conferences throughout his career.
